February is a busy month for us here at APW as our students are hard at work preparing for the 2012 animation portfolio deadlines for submission of their portfolios to top animation schools. After months of preparation – learning and practicing various drawing exercises specifically designed with animation school in mind – it’s time to spread out large numbers of figure drawings character designs and room drawings to choose the best ones. With the guidance and help of the APW staff of instructors, our students move closer to completing their final portfolios.

Btw, how long is the waiting period for students’ submission to be accepted by any animation schools?

Judging from the past few years, our students have been contacted by animation schools they applied to within 2 to 8 weeks of their portfolio submission. Will you be applying to any schools this year?

Hi Zaki, the 2012/13 Session starts on Sat. May 5th 2012 and finishes up on Sun. Mar. 3 2013. The 2012/13 Fall/Winter Session Schedule won’t be coming out for a few months yet. It usually starts in mid September. Hope that info helps. Also, have a look at this website that lists open life drawing sessions all over Canada (click “Ontario” and scroll down to options in Toronto).

I am currently attending Sheridan College. Out of curiosity, were you asking about the start of the Fall/Winter 2012/13 start for Sheridan or Seneca?
If that is the case, classes begin on September 4th, 2012 and end December 14th, 2012.
