Everyone loves a challenge and we at APW love designing characters, so here’s the deal. Take the challenge to design one new animation character everyday for two weeks. Every day on our blog and on our Facebook page we’ll post a new shape for you to use as a basis for a new character design. The basic shape will be the starting point for your character design. The character design is up to you.
Starting on Monday, October 24th and continuing everyday until Monday, November 7th we will post one new basic shape every day (at 9am each morning) on the APW facebook page and on this blog. Your mission, should you accept it, is to design a character based on or inspired by that day’s basic shape. The possibilities are endless here. Draw one pose of your new character (a full turnaround is not necessary) and feel free to post it on our facebook page. APW instructors, TA’s and APW alumni will get in on this as well. It’s pretty wide open – break out your sketchbook and have fun!
